Nithiin and Rashmika fans rejoice! The duo’s last film, Bheeshma has been released online and is now streaming on Netflix and Sun NXT.

Bheeshma is a romantic action comedy that was met with positive reviews upon its release. The film revolves around the protagonist, Bheeshma portrayed by Nithiin, a meme-maker who falls in love with Rashmika’s Chaitra.

Bheeshma released in theatres earlier this year in February. The film is directed by Venky Kudumula and produced by Naga Vamsi. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for the film with Sai Sriram doing the cinematography and Navin Nooling the editing.

Rashmika Mandanna was earlier seen in the Sankranti release Sarileru Neekevvaru in which she was seen playing the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu. The film was directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju, Mahesh Babu and Anil Sunkara. Music for the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film released in January 2020 and performed extremely well at the box office.

Sarileru Neekevvaru released at the same time as Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. Both films met with box office success, eventually becoming two of the biggest grossers internationally as well in India.

Mahesh Babu was seen in the role of an army officer while Rashmika played his love interest. He will be seen donning the producer’s hat for Adivi Sesh and Sobhita Dhulipala starrer Major which is currently in the post-production stage.

Rashmika has three films at various stages of production in different languages at present. There is the Kannada film Pogaru in which she will be sharing screen space with Dhruv Sarja. In Tamil, she has her debut film, Sultan, opposite actor Karthi and the Sukumar-directorial Pushpa in Telugu alongside Allu Arjun. Production work on these films has been halted in view of the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting lockdown.
