Kannada movie Seetharama Kalyana is progressing at a brisk pace with its teaser garnering a good number of views online. Starring Nikhil Kumar and Rachita Ram as the lead pair, the film is being directed by A Harsha.

While there have been various reports about the film’s release, we now hear that the Hindi dubbing and satellite rights have been sold out for a stellar price of Rs 5.5 crore. This is indeed the highest ever for a Nikhil Kumar starrer. The rights have been bagged by RK Duggal Studios.

Sources in the know say that Nikhil Kumar’s debut movie Jaguar was released in Hindi online and recorded a good number of views and likes. Following this, the rights of Seetharama Kalyana were sold out like hot cakes.

Jaguar won him the SIIMA Award for Best Debutant Actor (Male – Kannada and the TSR Film Award for Best Debutant Actor (Male) – Telugu.

With the teaser of Seetharama Kalyanan garnering a record number of hits, the expectations on this film have been high ever since its launch. To keep up the momentum, the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned in promoting Seetharama Kalayana.

Being a production venture from the Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s home banner Channambika Films, the film is produced by Anita Kumaraswamy and directed by choreographer A Harsha.

Starring the CM’s son Nikhil Kumar in the lead role, the film has Rachita Ram playing the heroine. The others in the star cast include the Girija Lokesh, Tamil star Sarath Kumar, Madhoo, Chikkanna and Ravi Shankar in supporting roles. The technical crew of Seetharama Kalyana will comprise Ravi Basrur to compose the music and J Swamy to crank the camera.

According to reports, Girija Lokesh will be seen playing Rachita Ram’s grandmother and Madhoo’s mother in this commercial entertainer.
