The National Investigation Agency questioned two men and their families in Mettupalayam over their alleged links to terror group ISIS. Following this enquiry notices have been issued to them and they are expected to produce themselves before the NIA in Cochin on October 9 at 10 am.

The first person to be summoned to the office is a 26-year-old man name Amir. The NIA has allegedly noticed contact from the man's phone number to members of the terror network. He runs a mobile sales and service shop.

Officials have reportedly recovered a mobile phone and five SIM cards from him.

Police have told ToI that Amir has been under 'shadow watch' from March when he tried to establish contacts with ISIS extremists in Syria. He was reportedly questioned for hours before the NIA let him leave.

The other man to come under the NIA radar, is an ambulance driver named Rahamathulla. He was reportedly not present at home when the NIA officials arrived and the notice was given to his family.

The notices have been issued under section 160 of the CrPC (Police officer' s power to require attendance of witnesses).
