Airaa, which features Nayanthara in a dual role for the first time in her career, is the actor’s next big release. It was announced recently that the movie will hit the screens on March 28. On Wednesday, the makers released a new poster, which has fans even more excited to see the movie.

The peppy poster shows Nayanthara sharing the frame with comedian Yogi Babu, the two having a fun moment together going by their body language and smiling faces. Instead of letting Nayanthara hog all the space in the poster, it’s a welcome change to see a comedian share the limelight along with the leading lady.

It may be noted that Nayanthara and Yogi Babu were last seen together in Kolamavu Kokila, and scenes between them really worked in favour of the film. The song ‘Kalyana Vayasu’ featuring the two of them from the film became a viral sensation.

Tipped to be a horror thriller, Airaa will feature Nayanthara in two very diverse characters. The film’s star cast also includes Kalaiyarasan, Yogi Babu, Jayaprakash and Malayalam actor Kulappulli Leela. The film has music by 8 Thottakal fame KS Sundaramurthy. The film is directed by Sarjun, who sparked controversy with his short film, Lakshmi. He also made another short film Ma while his debut feature film was Echcharikkai. Airaa is produced by KJR Studios, who had previously produced Nayanthara’s political drama Aramm.

The year 2018 was terrific for Nayanthara with blockbuster films such as Kolamavu Kokila and Imaikka Nodigal to her credit. Her last release was Viswasam, in which she reunited with Ajith. She will next be seen opposite Chiranjeevi in the Tollywood biopic Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is directed by Surendhar Reddy and produced by Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company.

The actor also has a slew of films, such as Kolaiyuthir Kaalam and the Malayalam film Love Action Drama directed by Dhyan Sreenivasan, in different stages of production. She has also inked a deal to star in Vijay’s next that will be directed by Atlee. She will be teaming up with Vijay after a decade.
