While Indians were busy on Saturday night with their weekend plans, the government of India seemingly has banned a large number of Porn websites.
Something that was on the BJP led government's checklist for a long time, the ban now seems to have been implemented on a large scale with the websites banned on most Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
"Pornography is against the cultural values of the country and a solution needs to be chalked out to block such content," Arvind Gupta, head of BJP's IT cell, had told Business Insider in November last year.
This however, has not gone down very well with a majority of the netizens, who have taken to various social media sites to criticize the move. Reddit discussions have been sparked and hashtags have been trending.

P.S - This is not the first attempt by the government. Remember All India Bakchod's video? Seems very significant now, doesn't it?
