Global storage and data management firm NetApp has started its first startup accelerator cohort and has picked six startups for the same.

According to an Economic Times report, all the startups that have been selected have a B2B focus. Over 200 startups applied for the cohort of which six were picked. These startups will get a $15,000 grant as well from NetApp.

The company has picked companies which strive to bring in automation and data analytics capabilities across sectors.

“In India we have seen there is a lot of stress on B2C. But, we are focused on the B2B space. We believe there is long-term value creation in that space,“ Ajeya Motaganahalli, Leader NetApp Excellerator Program told ET.

Starting with this, NetApp will be conducting two cohorts every year.

The six startups are Adya, Lightmetrics, Enclouden, Scalend Technologies, Vaultedge and Vitacloud Digital Health.

Adya is a Bengaluru-based startup that provides SaaS data security solutions to helps enterprises protect their sensitive data from theft by insiders and from ransomware. Its focus is on the mid-market.

Lightmetrics provides data and actionable insights into driving behaviour, using computer vision and machine learning. Its SDK integrates with an enterprise's telematics solution and measures key performance indicators for drivers in terms of safety and compliance.

Enclouden gives its customers a unified IT platform with a hyper converged infrastructure, virtualization and cloud platform, session connector monitoring, orchestration and automation.

Scalend is business intelligence software & self-service analytics platform for big data that helps you to explore, analyze and share real-time business analytics.

Vaultedge uses artificial intelligence to automatically uncover insights from your unstructured data. It connects to all your document sources and offers a fast, relevant, context-sensitive enterprise-wide search. It also automatically classifies documents, risks, tickets and more so you can get to action faster.

Vitacloud Digital Health collates real-time data from daily health events, into a single picture of consumer well-being. It allows caregivers to create smart health profiles of their users, by combining several variables that affect the human potential. Its secure, scalable cloud-based platform seamlessly integrates with over a hundred health devices and apps, via REST APIs, Bluetooth connections and even directly with sensors in the mobile phone.
