Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced that NEET is compulsory from next year after releasing the AP EAMCET Medical and Agriculture results in Vijayawada.

Naidu has constituted a three-member committee to discuss the NEET syllabus for the students.

He added, "The state government will prepare medical students as well as teachers from now itself for NEET to ensure that students doesn't face any difficulties in writing the entrance examination.”

"Since beginning I am advising parents to encourage the children so that children build a good future for themselves. Telugu Desham Party's main aim is to create Andhra Pradesh as biggest knowledge hub in the country. AP should always be known as a knowledge hub and we should always maintain that," said Naidu.

M Hemalatha from Kurnool secured first rank scoring 156 marks in AP EAMCET. Sathvik Reddy from Ranga Reddy came second while Yagina Priya from Hyderabad secured third rank.

The CM congratulated the students on their performance.
