Actress Nayanthara is gearing up for the release of fantasy horror-thriller Dora, in which a possessed car wants to take revenge. Directed by debutant Doss Ramasamy, the film is gearing up for release on March 31 amid high expectations. The film features Nayanthara in the lead and it revolves around events involving a possessed car. Even as the film is getting ready for release, the team is facing plagiarism charges after being accused of story theft by Sridhar, television scriptwriter. He has threatened to press charges against the makers.

In a report by Deccan Chronicle, a source from the film’s unit has been quoted as saying, “Director Doss Ramasamy has put his hard work and has worked on the story on his own. He doesn’t have anything to hide and is open to proving that his script is different from that of Sridhar’s. He has also registered his story with the writer’s union and if they compare both the scripts, they would know the truth.”

The film also stars Harish Uthaman and Thambi Ramaiah in pivotal roles. Interestingly, Dora will have dedicated action sequences for Nayanthara and she’s said to have performed them with ease and without a body double. Dora joins the long list of women-centric projects for Nayanthara, who has carved a niche with such projects.

Bankrolled by Jhabak Movies and Sarkunam Cinemas, the film will be released by Auraa Cinemas in Tamil Nadu. The music for the film is composed by Vivek-Mervin duo.
