Kollywood's Lady Super Star Nayanthara has been roped in to star opposite Vijay in his upcoming flick directed by Atlee. Vijay and director Atlee are all set to join hands for the third time in the upcoming project, which is currently dubbed as Thalapathy 63.

AGS is super happy to announce that Nayanthara has come on board for Thalapathy 63. Just like fans, I’m super excited to see Thalapathy Vijay and Nayan combo after a long time”.

Nayanthara and Vijay are teaming up for the second time after their last outing Villu in 2009 which was helmed by Director and Choreographer Prabhu Deva.

To be produced by AGS Entertainment the film was officially launched earlier last week in Chennai. The film had a soft launch in the presence of Vijay, Atlee and the makers of the film and it is believed that the regular shooting will only commence from January 2019. It is believed that the project is being planned as a Diwali 2019 release and It will be the third consecutive Diwali release for Vijay following the two blockbusters, Mersal and Sarkar.

Touted to be a sports entertainer, it is rumored that Vijay will feature as a coach. Comedians Yogi Babu and Vivek are on board while the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. The film has music by AR Rahman and the project marks the third consecutive collaboration of AR Rahman and Vijay after Mersal and Sarkar.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s Sarkar is having a dream run in theatres. The AR Murugadoss directorial has already grossed over Rs 200 crores worldwide and continues to play to packed screens everywhere.

Even as the film got itself embroiled in controversies over taking digs at the ruling government in Tamil Nadu, it didn’t stop it from making an impact at the box-office. The film is doing exceptionally well even in Telugu in recent times.
