Nayanthara is currently busy with the Rajinikanth starrer Darbar. She is also expecting the release of the Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in Telugu. According to the latest reports, Nayan has inked the deal to play the female lead in a movie that will be directed by Milind Rau of Aval fame.

Sources say that it is a thriller and Nayan has a challenging role to play in it. The shooting of this film, which has not been titled yet, is likely to begin later next month. Director Vignesh Shivn will be bankrolling the project under his own banner.

Meanwhile, Darbar is gearing up for release for Pongal next year. Nayan will also be seen playing Vijay’s love interest in the upcoming movie Bigil, directed by Atlee Kumar. The Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick, which is bankrolled by AGS Entertainments.

GK Vishnu is cranking the camera for this film with Anthony L Ruben being signed up for editing. Besides the lead pair Vijay and Nayanthara, the star cast also includes Kathir, Daniel Balaji, Yogi Babu, Sai Dheena, Vivek, Anandraj and others. The film is a sports drama which will see Vijay playing a football coach. The film will be hitting the screens this Deepavali.

Also, Nayan’s next film release will be the Malayalam movie Love Action Drama, which is scheduled to hit the marquee on the 13th of September. The film has Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara pairing up for the first time.

Dhyan Sreenivasan is directing this film and he has also penned the script. Shan Rahman is the music composer for this flick while the lyrics have been penned by Dhyan’s brother Vineeth Sreenivasan. Jomon T John is cranking the camera and the editing is done by Vivek Harshan with art direction being taken care of by Ajay Mangadu.
