Narcotics Control Bureau officials arrested two Nigerian nationals and recovered cocaine and other psychotropic substances worth Rs 1 crore from their rented house in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

According The Hindu report, the police nabbed the accused- Roseline Ernest (40) and Loveth Osasogie (30), who were living in T.C. Palya area, based on a tip-off. They also did not have any valid documents.

Cocaine (115 gm), cocaine tablets (2 gm), MDMA (30 gm), Methamphetamine (43 gm) and LSD (0.25 gm) were seized.

“The duo never sold the substance to a customer directly. They had agents, mostly fellow Nigerians, who would collect the substance from them and find customers. The drug was being sold to partygoers and students in and around Bengaluru,” an NCB officer said.

Deccan Herald reported that the suspects scored MDMA (ecstasy) and LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) from Europe and through ‘Darknet, a parallel Internet network which can be accessed with software authorisation.

“The suspects would sell a cocktail of drugs for musical and rave parties. Some drugs give euphoric effect while others enhance stamina. We are investigating the various sources developed by the suspects,” the officer said.
