A major box office clash between Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya and Mahesh Babu’s Bharath Ane Nenu was averted when both the filmmakers relinquished the April 27 release date and opted for other dates. But now, Tollywood is set to see another clash at the box office.
According to reports, N Kalyan Ram’s Naa Nuvve is set to release on May 25, the same day that director Ram Gopal Varma intends to release his Nagarjuna starrer Officer. The directors of both films have confirmed that their respective films will be out in theatres on May 25 and now fans are waiting eagerly for the D day.
Naa Nuvve is a rom com that is directed by Jayendra Panchapakesan. The film has Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Tamannaah as the lead pair with Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali, Vennela Kishore and Surekha Vani playing supporting roles. Sharreth is the music director for this flick, while ace cinematographer PC Sreeram is the man behind the camera. The film is bankrolled by Kiran Muppavarpu and Vijaykumar Vattikuti under the banner East Coast Productions and Cool Breeze Cinemas.
Officer, which has Nagarjuna playing the lead role, is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film, touted to be a cop thriller, brings the two together after two and a half decades. Interestingly, Nag plays an encounter specialist in the film and will be sporting a stylish avatar. The film’s motion poster was released recently and was well received by film buffs. Myra Sareen plays the female lead in this flick which is bankrolled by Sudeer Chandra and Ram Gopal Varma under the banner R Company.
With both Officer and Naa Nuvve planned for release on the same date, trade sources opine that it would be wise to avert a box office clash.
