Tollywood star Jr NTR had hosted the first season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss Telugu when it was launched in 2017 and had turned out to be a huge hit. The TRPs of the show skyrocketed, breaking some records as well. However, the star could not take up Season 2 as he was busy with his acting assignments. The offer then went to Nani, who hosted it successfully.

With Season 3 on the cards, there were a lot of expectations about who would host the show. The makers of Bigg Boss Telugu approached Jr NTR to return for the third season. The star also reportedly agreed to come back for this season and was to be paid a whopping sum for it. However, the latest we hear is that Jr NTR has backed out as he is busy with RRR, under SS Rajamouli’s direction. Also starring Ram Charan Teja, RRR is a fictional story set in the 1920s based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Koamaram Bheem.

According to the latest reports, the makers have now approached Nagarjuna to host the new season. Nagarjuna made his television debut hosting Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, on Maa TV. Though the show was a flop in other regional languages, Nagarjuna made the Telugu one a success. However, an official confirmation is still awaited on whether he is hosting Bigg Boss Telugu.

While Nagarjuna is busy with his current movie assignments, the reality show is shot in the premises of his Annapurna Studios, which can also be convenient for the actor.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna’s next will be Manmadhudu 2. The prep work for this film is currently going on and the makers are busy assembling the cast and crew. To be directed by Rahul Ravindran of Chi La Sow fame, the film will be bankrolled by Nagarjuna under his banner.
