Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming release, Savyasachi was supposed to be a June release but the makers decided to postpone its release to next month for various reasons. And now, the buzz is that it won’t happen next month either.

Sources in the know say that Naga Chaitanya, director Chandoo Mondeti and the rest of the core team had a look at the first copy of the film recently and felt that it was not up to the mark. Some parts of the film were lacking in various aspects which has forced the director to reshoot it.

So, going by reports, the team is currently busy with getting those scenes reshot. This means Savyasachi will not be making it to the silver screens next month. The exact date of release is expected to be announced later.

Naga Chaitanya is desperately in need of a big hit after a few of his earlier release failed at the box office. He is, therefore, aiming to get Savyasachi done to perfection. Incidentally, Chandoo Mondeti, the director of the film had directed Naga Chaitanya in Premam, the remake of the Malayalam blockbuster of the same name.  The film was a success and the duo have now ventured out with Savyasachi to taste another victory at the box office.

Touted to be an action entertainer, the film also stars actor Madhavan. It was initially rumored that Madhavan plays the antagonist in the film, but sources from the film's camp clarified that Madhavan will play a completely different role and that he is not the main antagonist.

The film is bankrolled by Mohan Cherukuri, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili and Naveen Yerneni under the banner Mythri Movie Makers. The film’s crew includes MM Keeravani for music composition, J Yuvaraj for cinematography, Venkateswara Rao Kotagiri for editing, S Rama Krishna and Monika Niggotre for art direction, and Ram and Lakshmi Chella for stunt choreography.

The first-look poster of the film created big expectations among film buffs.
