With young composer Anirudh busy composing for Super Star's next Petta, he has now got a life-size mannequin of Rajinikanth's Chitti and it is decorating his music studio in Chennai. Anirudh uploaded a short video of this on his Twitter handle and wrote:: “Meanwhile in the studio. Say Hi to…..”

The film, 2.0, the magnum opus of Shankar, featuring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson with music by AR Rahman, is hitting the marquee this 29 November.

Petta, Directed by Karthik Subburaj, is being bankrolled by Kalanidhi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures. Recently, the film's director announced that the first single track will be released on December 3 and the second single on the 7th while the audio launch will happen on December 9. It is being speculated the first look teaser of the film will be released on December 12, on the eve of Rajinikanth's birthday.

The makers recently released a poster featuring Rajinikanth and Simran to confirm the film's Pongal 2019 release.

The film has Vijay Sethupathi playing an important role and this is the first time he is sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth. In the star cast of this film are Simran, Trisha, Malavika Mohanan, Megha Akash, Bobby Simha and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing the tunes for this gangster action film with Tirru cranking the camera and Vivek Harshan being in charge of the editing. The rest of the technical crew include Peter Hein from stunt choreography, Suresh Selvarajan for production designing, Kunal Rajan as the sound designer, Niharika Khan and Praveen Raja as costume designers, and Baba Bhaskar and Sheriff for dance choreography.

Petta will also require a lot of computer graphics for which Prime Focus has been signed up to take care of its VFX.
