The News Minute | February 19, 2015 | 9.20 PM ISTBengaluru City Police has banned Member of Parliament Asaddudin Owaisi of the All India Majlis-e-Muslimeen (AIMIM) party from entering the city to attend a party meeting. The AIMIM has scheduled a meeting in the city on February 21. The ban on its leader from entering Bengaluru will be in effect from February 19 to 25. Even on February 8 when the party had planned a public meeting and had called Owaisi to address the public, the police had denied permission. A sub-inspector of police had first granted permission but later it was revoked citing a procedural lapse. Only a supervisory officer of the rank of Deputy Commissioner or above could have granted such a permission.  Read - Ban on Praveen Togadia remains as Karnataka High Court dismisses his petitionTweetFollow @thenewsminute
