Mollywood
‘Big Brother’ is touted to be an action suspense thriller, directed by Siddique.

The motion poster of the Mohanlal starrer Big Brother was released online on Friday. Mohanlal certainly looks stylish in what is touted to be an action suspense thriller. The motion poster, however, revealed that Big Brother will be a January 2020 release but the date has not been disclosed yet. It may be noted here that Big Brother was planned as a Christmas release this year but was postponed due to delay in post-production work.

In the motion poster you see Mohanlal in action -- blocking hits, pointing a gun and shooting, as a caption appears on the screen: “He's on board!”

Big Brother, directed by Siddique, has the Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan, Anoop Menon, Sarjano Khalid, Satna Titus and others in the cast. While Mohanlal, Anoop Menon and Sarjano Khalid play brothers in this flick, Arbaaz will be seen as a police officer.

It may be noted here the Mohanlal and director Siddique have teamed up for Vietnam Colony and Ladies and Gentlemen in the past and Big Brother is their third outing together.

Mohanlal also has Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham waiting for release early next year. The shooting of this historical was wrapped up some months ago and it is currently in the post-production stage. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film has Mohanlal playing the title role. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is based on the true-life of Kunjali Marakkar IV. Set in the 16th century, it is based on the battle exploits of Kunjali Marakkars—the naval chieftains of the Zamorin of Kozhikode. It will have extensive sea warfare sequences which will be its highlight. The film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Tirru and editor MS Ayyappan Nair.

Besides these films, Mohanlal also has L2: Empuraan in his kitty. The shooting of this sequel to Lucifer will go on the floors in March / April next year. Prithviraj Sukumaran will be wielding the megaphone for this venture.
