The News Minute | March 27, 2015 | 12:03 p.m. IST After India’s loss to Australia in the second semi-final of the World Cup on Thurday, Times Now started with the hashtag #ShamedInSydney, indicating that the team had let the country down after the 95-run-loss.While the channel was quick to retract the hashtag as soon as they faced flak from Twitter users, the trend #ShameOnTimesNow was soon started and has been trending worldwide since Thursday night with close to 2.2 lakh tweets referring to the hashtag.Users on the social networking site were critical of the channel for putting out the hashtag after the loss as most users seemed satisfied with the Indian team’s progress in the tournament. While most of the barbs have been aimed at the channel’s editor-in-chief ,Arnab Goswami, anchors Anand Narasimhan and Tina Sharma were under fire too. Also read: Times Now fires #ShamedInSydney, Twitter hits back with #ShameOnTimesNowGot up to see #ShameOnTimesNow still trending at no 1.
