The official announcement from the Neerali team is out! They have declared that the shooting for the film has been wrapped up. The shoot was completed within 36 days.

Mohanlal joined the sets of Neerali last month in Mumbai and shot for 15 days, during which a major portion of the film was shot. With the shooting done, Neerali has gone into the post-production mode. Reports say that it will be Mohanlal’s first film release this year and the release date has been set as May 4. Looks like the film is all set to cash in on the summer vacation season.

Directed by Ajoy Varma, Neerali is bankrolled by Santhosh T Kuruvilla, John Thomas and Mibu Jose Nettikadan under the banner Moonshot Entertainments. Stephen Devassy has composed music for this venture with Santosh Thundiyil, known for his work in Bollywood films, cranking the camera, while director Ajoy Varma himself is editing the movie. Sharing screen space with Mohanlal in Neerali are Parvatii Nair, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Saikumar, Dileesh Pothan, Nadhiya, Nassar and Megha Mathew.

It may be mentioned here that Mohanlal had completed shooting for his part in Neerali a few days earlier and moved over to the sets of Kayamkulam Kochunni on February 13. He will be wrapping up his schedule for Kayamkulam Kochunni in a few days as he plays only a cameo in it. Reports indicate that Mohanlal will be seen playing the legendary character of Ithikkara Pakki in it. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film has Nivin Pauly playing the lead role.

Apart from these two films, Mohanlal has the ambitious project Odiyan, which is in the making. The shooting of this film began last year and will go on for some more months. Mohanlal will be appearing in different get-ups in this flick, one of it being a younger version of himself for which he lost close to 10 kg.
