The trailer of the most anticipated fantasy thriller film Odiyan is out and has garnered the attention of film buffs. The trailer, which is 1.28 minutes long, was released on Facebook by the film’s lead star Mohanlal and has the right mix of mass elements that his fans would be looking for.

Besides focusing on the titular character, the trailer also offers a glimpse of the other characters played by Prakash Raj, Narain, Innocent, Manju Warrier and so on. The stunt sequences choreographed by Peter Hein promise a lot of entertainment for action fans.

Earlier, the plan was to release the film in October but with the film requiring a high amount of computer graphics to be included, its release has been rescheduled to December 14. The VFX work is being handled by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn’s NY VFXWAALA.

Odiyan will mark the directorial debut of ad filmmaker VA Shreekumar Menon in the Malayalam film industry. It has Prakash Raj playing a pivotal role and interestingly he is sharing screen space with Mohanlal, who is playing the title role, after nearly two decades. The last time the two veterans worked together was in the Mani Ratnam directorial Iruvar that released in 1997.

Manju Warrier plays the lead opposite Mohanlal in the film and the rest of the star cast includes Innocent, Siddique, Manoj Joshi, Nandhu, Narain, Kailash, Sreejaya Nair, Sana Althaf and Appani Sarath. The film is scripted by the national award winning writer K Hari Krishnan. The shooting for Odiyan began last year and was wrapped up in April.

The technical crew of the film includes M Jayachandran who composed the soundtrack while Sam CS is in charge of the BGM. Shaji Kumar is the cinematographer for this venture with John Kutty is the editor. Odiyan is a high budget movie being bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
