Mohanlal to play cameo in Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam Digital Native

Amidst reports that Mohanlal is busy with his upcoming film Odiyan, we hear from sources in tinsel town that he could play a cameo role in the upcoming movie Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam, which is being directed by Rejish Midhila.

The shooting of this film has begun already with the team camping in Ernakulam for this schedule. Scripted and directed by Rejish Midhila, it has Dileesh Pothen and Amith Chakkalakkal playing the lead roles and others in the star cast of this flick include Nedumudi Venu, Shammi Thilakan, and Sudhi Koppa.

While Mejo Joseph has been roped in to compose music for this venture, Eldho Issac is cranking the camera. Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapathakam is produced under the banner Take One Entertainments. Though there is no official word about Mohanlal being a part of this project or about the role he would playing, reports suggest that he may be seen as Tony Kurishingal.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is busy with the finishing touches of Odiyan. The shooting of this film is currently on with plans to release it in March / April. Directed by popular ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon, the film has Manju Warrier playing the female lead. Others in the star cast include Prakash Raj, Siddique, Innocent, Narain, Kailash, Sana Althaf, Appani Sarath and Nandhu.

Produced by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas, the film will be distributed by Maxlab Cinemas and Entertainments. M Jayachandran is composing music for the songs while C Sam has been roped in for the background score for this fantasy thriller. The exact date of its release is expected to be announced soon. After wrapping up Odiyan, Mohanlal will be moving over to the Ajoy Varma directorial. Touted to be a thriller, this film will mark his directorial debut.
