arnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has once again hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This time around, Siddaramaiah said that “he (Modi) dwells eloquently on non-issues”, and termed Modi as a “common troll” for “making fun” of his sleep apnea.

“My sleep apnea that used to induce occasional day time sleepiness. (Now I have treated it but like a common troll he makes fun of my condition.)” Siddaramaiah said.

Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder where one has problems with excessive daytime sleepiness, impaired alertness, and vision problems.

Taking to Twitter, Siddaramaiah countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi and listed issues that he did not speak about.

Siddaramaiah’s response came just hours after Modi concluded his one-day trip across the state, where he addressed three rallies. In his speech, Modi attacked Rahul Gandhi and the Karnataka government over various issues, including Rahul’s “dressing” and mispronunciation.

On Tuesday, Modi said, “This is the innovation of the sleeping CM of Karnataka. He is fearing defeat so changing seats, fighting two seats. And, in his old seat, he has sent his son.” Siddaramaiah will be contesting from Chamundeshwari and Badami, and his son will be contesting from Varuna.

He also questioned Modi’s silence on the inclusion of tainted mining baron Janardhana Reddy’s associates into the party fold, farmer loans and other issues.

Siddaramaiah said:

“What he did not say:

1 Why is he supporting the mining mafia led by Janardhan Reddy?

2 Why is he not helping us resolve Mahadayi issue?

3 Why is not giving a debt relief package to farmers when Banks can waive 2.71 lakh Cr. of corporate loans?

4 Why are petrol prices rising?”

He also questioned on why the Rafael aircraft deal with Bengaluru-based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited was cancelled, and also about the Punjab National Bank scam.

Siddaramaiah also lashed out at Modi over his comments criticising Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disrespecting HD Deve Gowda. Referring to a statement made by Modi in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Siddaramaiah questioned if the BJP and JD(S) were in an alliance.

“PM has suddenly discovered love & respect for Shri HD Deve Gowda. Shri Modi had not long ago said he will send Shri Deve Gowda to a retirement home. Is this new love a sign of the not so secret understanding between BJP & JDS?” Siddaramaiah questioned.
