Director Midhun Manuel Thomas had announced that his next is titled Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu and that it will have several new faces in it. While launching this project’s social media page, he wrote, “Not only Argentina fans, but all football fans can like..All real football fans appear in this film.”
The director had posted a pic with veteran actor Jayaram, his son Kalidas Jayaram and noted producer Ashiq Usman indicating that he will be doing a film with the young actor Kalidas.
Reports from Mollywood also suggest that Kalidas will be playing the lead role in the film. However, there is no official confirmation on it yet. We also hear that the director is simultaneously working on two other scripts - Kottayam Kunjachan 2 and Aadu 3.
Kalidas made his debut as hero with Poomaram earlier this year. Written and directed by Abrid Shine, the film has Kalidas Jayaram in the lead role with the star cast including Kunchacko Boban, Meera Jasmine, Joju George and Neeta Pillai. The film was bankrolled jointly by Paul Varghese and Abrid Shine under the banner Dr Paul Entertainments. Poomaram was based on the Mahatma Gandhi University Youth Festival that takes place annually where colleges under the university participate to vie for the champion trophy.
The young actor, after the release of Poomaram, has been signed up by director Alphonse Putheran to play the role in his first Tamil directorial, which has not been titled yet. It may be mentioned here that this project is the next directorial from Alphonse Putheran after the massive success of Premam. Kalidas has also signed up a project with director Jeethu Joseph.
