The Indian smartphone major Micromax has released a new phone in the market under its Canvas series and the phone is being called Micromax Canvas 1. The phone is already available in retail stores and is priced at Rs 6, 999. Here are the details of the specifications and features of the new phone.
It is a 5-inch phone and has a 2.5D curved glass to support the 720x1080p resolution HD display. The phone measures 143mm tall, 71mm wide and 8.33mm thick with its weight being about 150gms. The phone is being launched in two colors; matt black or chrome black.
The Micromax Canvas 1 is being powered by a MediaTek MT6737 chipset that clocks a speed of 1.3GHz. It receives support in the form of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. There is the customary microSD slot that can carry the storage limit to a modest 32GB.
The camera setup on the Micromax Canvas 1 consists of an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front sensor. The rear camera has a flash support. Besides the other communication features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, there is also the 4G VoLTE which has become a must-have in any smartphone in the Indian context.
The battery on this phone is 2500mAh in size.
There are two more factors related to this phone that are worth mentioning. One is this phone has been provided with OTG support. It can easily be connected/paired with any other device with mass storage and can be used to import pictures from a digital camera and so on.
The other attraction Micromax has added is that there is a 100-day replacement promise if the buyer encounters any hardware issue. There is the one full year warranty as well on the Micromax Canvas 1 and these 100 days will be counted within that.
