Dhanush plays a dual role in this film with actor Sneha roped in as his other pair.

Actor Dhanush, who is in the verge of wrapping up the shoot for Vetrimaaran’s Asuran, is all set to rejoin the sets of director Durai Senthil Kumar’s next film in which he plays dual roles.

To be bankrolled by Satyajothi Films, the project also stars Sneha as one of the leading ladies and she will be paired with Dhanush's older character. On Saturday, the makers revealed that Mehreen Pirzada has been signed as Dhanush’s pair for the younger role. This will be Mehreen’s third Tamil film after Nenjil Thunivirundhal and NOTA. Mehreen was last seen in Telugu film F2 in which she was paired with Varun Tej.

Having already completed one schedule for the film, the team is all set to commence the second schedule soon. The first schedule was shot in Kuttralam and the shoot will resume from the first week of July.

Both Asuran and Durai’s film feature Dhanush in dual roles where he will be seen playing father and son. The father portion featuring Dhanush and Sneha as his pair has already been shot in the Kuttralam schedule and Dhanush will go beardless for shooting the son’s portion from July.

Cinematographer Om Prakash is cranking the camera and this will be his fourth outing with Dhanush after Maari, Anegan and Maari 2. Vivek-Mervin duo has been roped in to take care of the music. Dhanush also has a project with Raatsasan director produced by Satyajothi Films apart from a film with the director Mari Selvaraj of Pariyerum Perumal fame.

While, Asuran stars Dhanush playing the role of a father and son Touted to be a revenge-based thriller based on Tamil novel Vekkai, Dhanush will avenge the death of his father. Dhanush will be seen playing a daily wage laborer and he will be seen in a fierce avatar.

The film will be bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu, who had recently bankrolled VIP 2. The star cast of this film also includes veteran actor Pasupathi and Director Balaji Sakthivel. Dhanush and Pasupathi had shared the screen space in Sullan in the year 2004 and they are teaming up for a movie after 15 years now.
