Director Vikram Kumar is gearing up to take his next project on to the floors very soon. The director has signed up Nani to play the lead role in this flick. According to reports doing rounds about the heroine, we hear that Megha Akash is the top contender. She is in talks with the filmmaker but the deal has not been struck as yet. Sources in the know say that call sheet and remuneration are the two crucial factors and if these work out favourably, she will be onboard.

Megha Akash made her debut with the Telugu film Lie in 2017 and was seen in Chal Mohanaranga as well. She was in the star cast of the Rajinikanth starrer Petta in which her performance was well received.

Yet another interesting development about this yet to be titled film is that it will also feature Siddharth in the star cast. But the star will be playing the main antagonist. Sources in the know say that Siddharth accepted the role as it would give him enough scope for performance.

Reports are that this Nani starrer will belong to the horror genre. Interestingly, Vikram Kumar had directed Yavarum Nalam / 13 B, a horror flick which turned out to be a smash hit in 2009. This film starred R Madhavan and Neetu Chandra as the lead pair.

Meanwhile, sources told Indian Express, “The preparation is still going on. When it comes to the story, it will not be an ordinary narrative. It will have drama, romance, twists and all other commercial elements. And it is going to be told in a little out-of-the-box manner for sure.”

It may be noted that the director was working on a project for Allu Arjun but it has been put in the cold storage for various reasons. Allu Arjun has moved on to another film following which Vikram Kumar has decided to begin this horror flick with Nani.
