A few days ago, it was revealed that Shraddha Srinath had bagged the role of the female lead in the Shiva Rajkumar starrer Rustum. According to the latest reports, Mayuri Kyatari has now been signed up to play a crucial role.

Reports indicate that Mayuri will be seen playing Shiva Rajkumar’s sister while Shraddha will be seen as his love interest.

Rustum will be the debut directorial venture of popular stunt director Ravi Varma. Ravi, who had narrated the story to Shiva Rajkumar nearly one and half years ago, has come up with an impressive script, following which the project has taken off. The shooting for this film is scheduled to begin on April 24 and the groundwork is progressing at a brisk pace right now.

Anoop Seelin has been roped in to compose music for this venture while Mahendra Simha has been signed up to crank the camera. The film is being bankrolled under the banner Jayanna Combines.

Mayuri Kyatari is an upcoming actor with a slew of films in her kitty. She is reportedly shooting for a song sequence in Goa for the Jaggesh starrer 8 MM right now. However, Mayuri will be free of her other film commitments in time to get on board the sets of Rustum, confirm sources.

According to early reports, Shiva Rajkumar will be seen playing a police officer in Rustum and he has been busy preparing to get himself into the skin of the character.

The popular star is basking in the grand success of his recent release Tagaru. The film took a big opening in Karnataka and is running to packed houses. His next film release would be The Villain, a multi-starrer in which he is sharing screen space with Kiccha Sudeep.

Also, the star’s Kavacha is scheduled for release this year. Reports indicate that this film may make it to the silver screens late this year.
