Kannada actor Manvitha Harish is upbeat about her upcoming release Tagaru and she has every reason to be so.

In an interview to the Times of India, she opened up about her role in the movie and was quoted as saying: “I play a musician who loves traveling and meeting hippies. She loves Goa and sings at clubs. I had to work on getting into the character. I had to lose weight for my role, for which I trained hard. In order to help understand my character better, I requested Suri sir to involve me in the scripting. The entire team prepared me for my character, which is a performance-oriented role.”

Manvitha went on to add that it was a “learning experience” and felt like she was doing a course in filmmaking. The actor also said that it is not an average movie and that its stylish presentation sets is apart.

Directed by Duniya Suri, this is her second project with the director, having worked with him before in Kendasampige. Tagaru stars Shiva Rajkumar in the lead role with Manvitha Harish and Bhavana playing the female leads. The star cast also includes Dhananjay, Vasishta N Simha, Devaraj and Suhasini Maniratnam in pivotal roles.

The film is scheduled to release on Feb 9. Meanwhile, director Puri Jagannadh is scheduled to watch the film’s first day first show in Bengaluru.

Produced by KP Srikanth under his banner Venus Entertainers, it is one of the most anticipated films and also happens to be Shiva Rajkumar’s first outing at the theatres this year. While Charan Raj has composed music for this venture, the cinematography and editing have been handled by Mahendra Simha and Deepu S Kumar.

Shiva Rajkumar and Duniya Suri are teaming up for the second time after the massive success of Kaddipudi way back in 2013 and fans just can’t wait for the film to release.
