Lucifer, starring Mohanlal and directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, is reportedly doing well at the box office worldwide. It has reportedly emerged as the biggest opener for Mohanlal at the USA Box Office.

Manju Warrier, who plays an important character in Lucifer, told the Indian Express, “Lucifer is getting a positive response. The audience is also sharing interesting observations regarding the movie. The confidence that Raju (Prithviraj) had while shooting the movie and the way he handled the movie gave confidence and hope to all of us. We commit to every movie with the hope and prayer that it should turn out to be a hit. But the result depends upon the tastes and attitude of the audience. When a movie is welcomed wholeheartedly by the audience, it gives us immense pleasure.” She added, “When the movie garnered great reviews in the first day, it filled our heart with joy.”

Lucifer is a political thriller that appears to take a lot of references from the political parties in the country, with Mohanlal playing a character called Stephen. The cast also includes Tovino Thomas, Indrajith, and the Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Those in the supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, Saniya Iyappan, director Fazil, Giju John, Nyla Usha, Baiju, Sachin Khedekar, Suresh Menon and others. Prithviraj too plays a cameo in the film.

Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer. The technical crew of the film comprises Sujith Vaassudev for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy is in charge of the music composition. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.

It may be mentioned here that Manju Warrier is making her debut in the Tamil film industry with the Dhanush starrer Asuran. The film is directed by the award-winning director Vetrimaran.
