Manchu Manoj to play a cameo in Srikanth’s 'Operation 2019'

Movie buffs got to see Manchu Manoj making a cameo appearance in Tarun’s Idi Naa Love Story recently and he will be doing it once again.

Reports say that the young actor will be making a guest appearance in Operation 2019, which has Srikanth playing the lead role. The actor has confirmed that Manchu Manoj has agreed to be a part of his film and that he will begin shooting his portions soon. According to sources, he will be seen playing a police officer in the film and his role is very vital to the storyline.

Manchu Manoj, who is currently on a break after the release of Okkadu Migaladu, is busy working out to reduce the weight he had put on for the film. He will apparently sign new films to play the hero only after his weight comes down, say sources. Reports say that Manchu Manoj is on a strict diet and workout regime to ensure that his body is toned down soon.

Operation 2019 is said to be a political satire and is expected to be released just ahead of the impending 2019 elections. The film, which comes with the tagline Beware of Public, is being directed by V Uddhav and bankrolled by Alivelu.

The first look poster of the film, featuring Srikanth, has gone viral and it resembles the star’s look in his hit flick Operation Duryodhana. Manchu Manoj’s debut in the film industry was with the 1993 release Major Chandrakanth, in which he appeared as a child artiste. Some of the films that he had starred in include Raju Bhai, Bindaas, Jhummandi Naadam, Mr. Nookayya, Uu Kodathara? Ulikki Padathara?, Pandavulu Pandavulu Thummeda and Current Theega. He made a cameo in the 2015 release Dongaata and appeared as himself in it. The film starred his sister Lakshmi Manchu in the lead role.
