Man who played Bhishma in Mahabharat joins Ajith’s Vivegam as villain

When the Ajith starrer Vivegam, an action thriller, commenced, it was revealed that the Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi would be playing the villain. However, it has now been disclosed that another villain has joined the star cast and it is Arav Chowdhury, well known for playing Bhishma in the Mahabharat television series. The actor has been a part of movies like Dhoom and Housefull 3, it may be mentioned here.

According to reports, the Vivegam team is busy with the final schedule in Serbia and will return to the city once it is over. Directed by Siva, the film has Ajith in the lead role with Kajal Agarwal and Akshara Haasan playing his female leads. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for this film.

Produced by TG Thyagarajan under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films, the film has been shot predominantly in Europe. In fact, the shooting commenced in Slovenia and has been progressing at a brisk pace. Vivegam will reportedly hit the marquee in August this year. The film’s technical crew includes Vetri, who has cranked the camera and Rubens in charge of the editing.

Director Siva and Ajith are teaming up for the third time after the success of Veeram and Vedhalam at the box office. This has given rise to anticipation that the duo would go on to score a hat-trick. Incidentally, Anirudh is also teaming up with Siva and Ajith for the second time after composing tunes for Vedhalam.

Meanwhile, there is a strong buzz that a song teaser would be released on Ajith’s birthday on May 1. Fans are hoping that the filmmakers will come out with a surprise birthday treat. With Ajith’s look in Vivegam being released a few days earlier, the expectations are soaring.
