Mammootty’s fans out there can look forward to three of the star’s films releasing in quick succession. It will be Mamangam and Shylock this year and One will make it to the silver screen next year.

Mamangam is currently in post-production mode and it will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu besides Malayalam on December 12. It is a historical based on a medieval fair for the warriors. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, it is being bankrolled by Venu Kunnampilly under the banner Kavya Films. With Ganesh Rajavelu aka Jim Ganesh wielding the camera, M Jayachandran scoring the music, Sreekar Prasad in charge of the editing, and Kaecha Khamphakdee choreographing the stunts, it is a strong technical team for the film. Unni Mukundan, Neeraj Madhav, Sunil Sukhada, Meghanathan and Sohan Seenulal are playing supporting roles in this flick.

Shylock is directed by Ajai Vasudev, who is teaming up with Mammootty for the third time. The film has Meena playing the lead role with veteran Tamil actor Raj Kiran in an important role. It will mark the debut of Raj Kiran in the Malayalam film industry. Shylock is a bilingual that will be released in Tamil and Malayalam. Touted to be a family entertainer, the film is scripted by debutants Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. Joby George is bankrolling the venture under his banner Goodwill Entertainment. Gopi Sunder has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with the lyrics penned by Harinarayanan. Renadive will be cranking the camera for this venture.

One is a political drama that will have the megastar playing the Chief Minister of Kerala. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Renji Panicker, Sreenivasan, Joju George and Murali Gopy have been roped in for important roles. The film, directed by Santhosh Viswanath, is bankrolled by Ichais Productions.
