Mammootty’s Masterpiece is getting ready for a big release soon. The mega star’s film, directed by Ajai Vasudevan, is touted to hit a record number of theatres as the filmmakers are planning to make its release really huge.
It is said that plans are on to break the record set by Mammootty’s 2016 release Kasaba and the target would certainly be achieved. Considering the massive release planned for this flick, its opening collections are sure to break a few box office records. While Ajai Vasudevan is wielding the megaphone for this venture, the star cast has Mammootty as the main lead with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Maqbool Salmaan, Santhosh Pandit and Mahima Nambiar playing pivotal roles.
According to sources, the film has Mammootty playing a college professor named Edward Livingstone. He returns to the college where he had studied as a ruthless professor. The technical crew of Masterpiece comprises Deepak Dev as the music composer and Vinod Ilampally as the cinematographer.
The film’s shooting began a few months ago at the Fatima Mata National College and the second schedule started a couple of months ago in Calicut. The film has been produced by CH Muhammed under the banner Royal Cinemas.
It may be mentioned here that director Ajai Vasudevan and Mammootty are teaming up for the second time after Rajadhi Raja. Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is also getting to share screen space with the mega star for the second time, after Kasaba last year. T
