The shooting of the Mammootty starrer Shylock, which has been in progress for a couple of months, has finally been wrapped up. The shooting was completed recently and the film has gone into the post-production mode. Shylock is directed by Ajai Vasudev, who is teaming up with Mammootty for the third time. The film has Meena playing the lead role with veteran Tamil actor Raj Kiran in an important role. It will mark the debut of Raj Kiran in the Malayalam film industry. Shylock is a bilingual that will be released in Tamil and Malayalam. 

Touted to be a family entertainer, the film is scripted by debutants, Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. Joby George is bankrolling the venture under his banner Goodwill Entertainment. Gopi Sundar has been roped in to compose the tunes for this flick with lyrics penned by Harinarayanan. Renadive will be cranking the camera for this venture.

With Shylock wrapped up, Mammootty will be moving over to One. It is a political drama that has Mammootty playing the Chief Minister of Kerala. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Renji Panicker, Sreenivasan, Joju George and Murali Gopy have been roped in for important roles. The film, directed by Santhosh Viswanath, is bankrolled by Ichais Productions. One is currently in the pre-production mode and will start rolling soon.

Further, Mammootty’s Mamangam, directed by noted filmmaker M Padma Kumar, has reached the final stages of post-production. It is a big-budget film made on a budget of Rs. 50 crore. The film is a historical based on a medieval fair for the warriors and it is presumed that Unni Mukundan will be playing a warrior in it. It has four heroines, Prachi Desai, Prachi Tehlan, Malavika Menon and Abhirami V Iyer in the star cast and those playing supporting roles are Neeraj Madhav, Sunil Sukhada, Meghanathan and Sohan Seenulal.
