Parole, starring Mammootty in the lead role, is all set to hit the silver screens on the 31st of this month. The film, which is based on a true life incident, is directed by debutant director Sharrath Sandith while it was written by Ajith Poojappura.

The teaser of Parole released recently shows its lead star behind the bars for committing a crime and we are yet to know the reason for it. Also, there are clips of an album containing photos capturing the best moments of the prisoner’s life. And it goes without saying that Mammootty plays the lead role, Alex in the film.

The star cast of Parole is impressive with Mia George and Ineya playing the female leads and Tollywood actor Prabhakar playing an important role with Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Lalu Alex, Alencier, Sudheer Karamana and Kalashara Babu forming the supporting cast.

On the film's title, its director Sharrath Sandith told the Times of India earlier, “I remember, on the first day of the shooting, we still didn't have a confirmed title. Mammukka was listening to a couple of songs that were composed for the film, and one of them was called the Parole song. That sort of struck him as something catchy. So, he asked one of the crew members to hand over the clapboard and he wrote down Parole on it. He was sceptical whether I would like it but I didn't have second thoughts.”

Well, with Mammootty coming up with the title for this flick, the plot should be interesting to have the audiences glued to their seats. With Parole due release in less than a month, the star has moved over to his next and is busy concentrating in the period actioner Mamankam, which is being directed Sajeev Pillai.
