Here’s the news that all Mammootty’s fans have been waiting for. The star’s next film release after Abrahaminte Santhathikal, which would be out in the theatres on June 16, would be Oru Kuttanadan Blog. The shooting of this film’s final schedule is currently on and it will hit the marquee on August 24.
The film, touted to be a comedy, is based out a village in Kuttanad and the characters that live there. Sethu of the Sachi – Sethu duo, a well-known scriptwriter, will be making his debut as a director with Oru Kuttanadan Blog.
As the title indicates, Mammootty will be seen as a blogger in the film and it has two heroines, Raai Laxmi and Anu Sithara, sharing the screen space with him. Vineeth Sreenivasan will be making a cameo appearance in the film. The others in the star cast of his comedy entertainer include Siddique, Suraaj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi Venu, Adil Ibrahim and Jude Anthany Joseph.
It may be mentioned here that Oru Kuttanadan Blog was initially titled as Kozhy Thankachan but it was later renamed as the story will be narrated through a blog. Popular actor Unni Mukundan has been assisting the director in this venture. The film is bankrolled by PK Muralidharan and Shantha Muralidharan under the banner Anantha Vision. On Mammootty’s role in the film, we hear that he plays a middle-aged man who is role model to all the youth in the village.
On the other hand, Mammootty’s next release Abrahaminte Santhathikal is scheduled for release on June 16. Directed by Shaji Padoor, the film has the star playing an IPS Officer. The action thriller also stars Anson Paul, Kaniha and Kalabhavan Shajohn, Narain and Renji Panicker in pivotal roles. Haneef Adeni had penned the film for which Gopi Sunder has composed music for the film with Alby cranking the camera. Abrahaminte Santhathikal is bankrolled by Joby George and TL George under the banner Goodwill Entertainments.
