One of the top production houses in the Malayalam film industry Goodwill Entertainments is all set to bankroll three projects this year and an announcement in this regard will be made on Easter, April 21.
Reports are that the Malayalam mega star Mammootty will be cast in one of the projects as he has collaborated with the production house in the past and shares a good rapport with them. Sources in the know say that the film may be directed by Ajai Vasudev. However, an official announcement regarding this has not yet come.
Ajai Vasudev has earlier directed Mammootty’s Masterpiece. While Mammootty played cop in this action thriller, Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Poonam Bajwa, Gokul Suresh, Maqbool Salmaan, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Mahima Nambiar, Lena, Megha Mathew, Santhosh Pandit and Kailash shared screen space with him.
Mammootty is currently busy with a slew of projects including MadhuraRaja and Unda. MadhuraRaja is an action-packed entertainer that is directed by Vysakh with the scripting done by him in association with Uday Krishna. The film is a sequel to the 2010 film Pokkiri Raja which was directed by Vysakh and starred Mammootty in the lead. The technical crew of the film includes Gopi Sunder for music, Shaji Kumar for cinematography and John Kutty for editing. It is set for release on April 12th.
Mammootty’s Unda is directed by Khalid Rahman and produced jointly by Moviee Mill's Krishnan Sethukumar and Gemini Studios. The film has Shine Tom Chacko, Jacob Gregory, Arjun Ashokan and Omkar Das Manikpuri in supporting roles.
