Director Sohan Seenulal and Mammootty will be associating again for a movie and it will be based on an interesting premise. The duo had worked together in Doubles and this time around, the director has a script that demands Mammootty to be seen as a dwarf.

PV Shaji Kumar is penning the script for this flick, which has not been titled yet. The groundwork to get it on the floors has begun already. It may be noted here that Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan played a dwarf in the Tamil movie Aboorva Sahotharargal several years ago.

Director Sohan Seenulal made his debut with Doubles starring Mammootty as the hero. Released in 2011, the film had Nadhiya Moidu playing the female lead. They were seen as twins while Taapsee Pannu also shared screen space with the veterans.

While this being so, Mammootty is busy with a slew of projects on hand including the Telugu flick Yathra, a biopic on the late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Rajasekar Reddy. The film, directed by Mahi V Raghav, will be out at the theatres later this year.

Further, the star has a number of Malayalam movies in different stages of production lined up for release and they include Peranbu (premiered), Madura Raja and Mamankkam. His Oru Kuttanadan Blog hit the marquee recently, where he was seen playing a big brother kind of role to a number of young men, reminding viewers of his old film Sangham.

Reports doing rounds in tinsel town are that Mammootty might team up with director Vinod Vijayan for a venture that will be scripted by Haneef Adeni. It is also said that Mammootty may be seen playing a gangster after a long gap.  However, there is no official word on it yet as Haneef Adeni needs to concentrate on his upcoming film Mikhael, which has Nivin Pauly in the lead.
