Prabhas’ is one of the few actors who have been lucky enough to bag some of the best scripts and big budget projects. While his Baahubali franchise turned out to be a phenomenal hit, he is currently busy with Saaho, which is scheduled to hit the silver screens in August this year.

While this film is nearing completion, Prabhas is working simultaneously on his next project titled Jaan, which is being directed by KK Radha Krishna. Pooja Hegde has been roped in to play the female lead in this film.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, the story is set in a foreign country. Most of the shoot is planned to be shot in Europe. To cut down the budget, the makers are planning to erect a set at the Ramoji Film City Hyderabad. The set which is built on a budget close to Rs 30 crore will capture archaeological Italian aspect for the film.

The film is being bankrolled jointly by Gopi Krishna Movies and UV Creations and is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, with plans on to release it for Christmas this year.    

Saaho, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor.

According to the latest reports, the upcoming film Saaho, starring Prabhas in the lead, will be dubbed in Japanese. The filmmakers arrived at this decision after the star’s Baahubali did well at the box office in Japan. The technical crew of this film includes Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy for composing music with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing.
