Mahesh Babu walks out of Sukumars film due to creative differences

In a major disappointment to Mahesh Babu fans, the actor has dropped his film with director Sukumar. Citing creative differences between the two, Mahesh Babu announced his exit from the project on Monday.

Taking to social media, the actor said, “Due to creative differences, my film with Sukumar is not happening. I wish him all the best on the announcement of his new project. Respect always for a film maker par excellence. 1 Nenokkadine will remain as a cult classic. Enjoyed every moment working on that film.” (sic)

Mahesh and Sukumar had previously teamed up for 1 Nenokkadine in 2014. Though the film failed at the box-office, movie buffs consider it as a 'cult' film with several layers. Post the release of Rangasthalam, Mahesh Babu and Sukumar were in talks for a film. Reportedly Rakul Preet Singh was chosen as the female lead for this film. The unnamed project was supposed to be his 26th film. According to reports, Sukumar had narrated two scripts, both of them were reportedly rejected by the superstar.

The buzz is that Sukumar has now discussed a script with actor Allu Arjun and that he has signed him for the film. The film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers. This film will mark their association for the third time, after Arya and Arya 2. Arya was the debut film of Sukumar.

Meanwhile, actor Mahesh Babu also has signed a film with director Anil Ravipudi of F2 fame. The production of the film will begin after the release of Maharshi. Anil Sunkara will be producing the movie. The movie is scheduled for a summer release in 2020.

Maharshi, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, will be released on April 5. The film is produced by Aswini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V Potluri under the banners Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP.
