The much awaited Telugu family drama, featuring superstar Mahesh Babu, Brahmotsavam, is set to hit screens on May 20. Although there were rumours that the film was being postponed to June, the makers confirmed on Saturday, at the film’s launch, that there would not be any delay in the release of the film.

The film marks the second collaboration between Mahesh and director Srikanth Addala, after the highly acclaimed Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Pranitha Subhash and Revathy among others.

Speaking at the audio launch for the film, Mahesh Babu said he had a ball working on Brahmotsavam, and that he found an extended family in the film’s ensemble cast.

The film is in its last leg of post-production, with one more song left to be shot next week. After the song is completed, the principal shooting process will be wrapped up and the makers will gear up for the process of obtaining censor board certification.

On Friday, the film's makers unveiled the theatrical trailer of the film, and going by the rushes, the audiences are in for another touching family saga. The film will be dubbed and released in Tamil along with its Telugu version.
