Madan Karky, the noted lyricist in the Tamil film industry has gone on to pen lyrics for a song in SPYder. Confirming this through his Twitter handle, Madan wrote, "Penned my first Telugu song for @urstrulyMahesh's #Spyder. Big thanks to Director @ARMurugadoss & @Jharrisjayaraj for trusting in me." Incidentally, he has also written the song Boom Boom’s Tamil version.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, SPYder will be released in Telugu as well as Tamil simultaneously on September 27. Though its lead star Mahesh Babu is not new to the Tamil film goers, as several of his dubbed movies have done well at the box office, SPYder will be his first direct Tamil film, which has created a lot of expectations.

Reports are that the shooting has been wrapped up and the team is busy preparing for the audio launch that is scheduled to happen next month. With SPYder gearing up for a Dusshera release, the post-production work is happening at a breakneck speed.

Touted to be a spy thriller, the film has Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Surya, Bharath, RJ Balaji (Tamil) and Priyadarshi Pullikonda (Telugu) in the star cast. Hars Jayaraj has composed music for this venture with Santosh Sivan cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing it. Bankrolled by NV Prasad and Tagore Madhu under the banner NVR Cinema, the film’s distribution rights have been bagged by Reliance Entertainment and Lyca Productions.

SPYder was originally touted to hit the marquee in June this year but the film’s director AR Murugadoss decided to change the climax following which it was re-shot, which delayed the film’s release. With the film being Mahesh Babu’s debut in the Tamil film industry, the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it turns out to be a massive hit among the masses.
