The shooting of Prithviraj’s maiden directorial Lucifer is currently happening in Lakshwadeep. The team has been camping there for a four-day schedule during which some important scenes will be canned. The major portion of Lucifer has been shot already in various locations in Kerala, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Russia and Lakshwadeep will be the final destination. Reports are that the shooting of this film has reached the final stages and its post production is also happening to ensure that it makes it to the silver screen in March as planned.

Lucifer is one of the most anticipated films in the Malayalam film industry as it marks the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film has Mohanlal playing the lead role with Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, and Tovino in pivotal roles. Those in the supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas and Mala Parvathy.

Mohanlal plays a politician in the film and his character in it is named Stephen Nedumballi. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer which is touted to be a political thriller. The shooting of this film began on July 18th and was supposed to be wrapped up by this year end. However, the shooting schedules went haywire for certain reasons which have resulted in some delay.

The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vaassudev for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy will be in charge of the music composition.

The film is gearing up for a big release on March 28th and all efforts are being put in to ensure that the release date is not missed.
