The new poster of the film that was recently released gave rise to the speculation that Adil will be playing a journo in ‘Lucifer’.

It is well known that Adil Ibrahim, a popular anchor and actor, will be playing an important role in Prithviraj’s maiden directorial Lucifer. A new poster of the film was released recently and this gave rise to the speculation that he will be playing a journo in the film. The poster introduces Adil as playing the character Riju. The actor is naturally excited over the launch of his character poster and has tweeted: “My Character Poster of the much-awaited Lucifer. Thanks a ton to the captain on this big ship @therealprithvi @mohanlal.”

It may be noted here that Adil Ibrahim has carved a niche for himself as an actor by acting in a number of films including Achayans, Endless Summer, Persiakkaran, Nirnnayakam, Rockstar, Kappiri Thuruth, Hello Dubaikkaran, Oru Kuttanadan Blog and Nine.

Lucifer, directed by actor turned filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran, is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas.

The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vaassudev for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy is in charge of the music composition. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer which is touted to be a political thriller.

Lucifer has been shot in various places in Mumbai and various places in Kerala including Ernakulam, Idukki and Thiruvananthapuram. Some important portions were also canned in Lakshadweep and Russia. In Lucifer, Mohanlal plays a politician and his character is named Stephen Nedumballi.  The film is in the last stages of post production. It is scheduled for release on the 28th of next month.

The film has an impressive cast of actors. Apart from Mohanlal playing the lead role, there are actors like Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith, Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. Those in the supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, Saniya Iyappan, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas, Nyla Usha and Mala Parvathy.
