Photographs of Che Guevara taken by a European journalist soon after the Argentine revolutionary’s execution have surfaced in a little Spanish town.
According to The Japan Times, eight black and white photographs were found by Imanol Arteaga who is a councilor in Ricla, a town in the north of Spain.
He inherited them from uncle Luis Cuartero, who was a missionary in Bolivia in the 1960s. according to Arteaga’s relatives, Cuartero was given the photographs by a French journalist, believed to be AFP’s Marc Hutten.
One of the right photographs is reportedly of Tamara Bunke, Guevara’s companion. Read the full report at The Japan Times.
