The Kannada film Londonalli Lambodhara, directed by Raj Surya, has 21 producers, the director revealed recently. The film is being bankrolled by 21 Kannadigas, all residing in the UK. The film, touted to be a family entertainer, has Santhosh playing the male lead. Reports say that it was Santhosh who brought together the 21 producers to bankroll the film.

Debutante Shruti Prakash will share screen space with Santhosh as the female lead. It may be mentioned here that Shruti is well-known for her stint in the fifth season of the Bigg Boss Kannada reality show.

Talking about Londonalli Lambodhara, its director Raj Surya told Cinema Express in an interview recently, “This is a film about those who leave their country hoping that they will return one day. How they lead their lives abroad and the circumstances they face becomes the crux of my film, which is layered with elements of love and suspense.”

On taking up this project, the director had said that he has several scripts ready but wanted to take this particular script because it is being bankrolled by Kannadigas living in London.

Revealing more, the director said, “Pavan N Iyengar, the music director of the film, connected me with Santhosh, who then got his friends to invest in the film. Since the actor and producers were from there, I was obligated to shoot in London. In a way, it helped to locate the best spots in UK for our film. The film has come out really well.”

Besides the lead pair Santhosh and Shruti Prakash, the star cast also includes Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Kumar, Sampath Raj and Sudha Belawadi in supporting roles. Phanidhar Revanu, a close friend of the director, will be making his debut as cinematographer with the film.

The film is scheduled for release worldwide on March 29.
