LG’s next big smartphone launch is expected on August 31 and a lot of details have been periodically revealed about the LG V30; some official and others through leaks or pure speculation.

On the design and appearance of the new phone, the renders show a full screen display not very different from what one has seen on the LG G6 released last. If anything, the sizes of bezels on the top and bottom appear to have been further reduced. And the edges show a curved shape while the LG 6 sported straight corners. The phone has been constructed in a metal unibody design. The rear panel shows two cameras horizontally placed next to each other and the fingerprint sensor below this, but leaving sufficient gap to enable a smoother use of the sensor. Lastly, the renders also show the volume control button on the right side and the power ON/OFF switch on the left side of the phone.

Some of the other information available about the LG V30 include its 6inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. There is a mention of the use of an OLED panel that makes the display at the edges flexible.

The processor will be the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The RAM would be 4GB and the internal storage 64GB. There is still no clarity on the inclusion of a microSD slot. Another serious discussion is on the presence of the 3.5mm jack and the current series of renders indicate no presence of the jack on the LG V30.

On the subject of the camera arrangement, the dual cameras in the rear have already been mentioned above. There is also the LED flash clearly seen next to the cameras, though the precise specs of these rear cameras and the front camera are yet to be confirmed. What is however being confirmed is that the sensor will come with a f/1.6 aperture lens and also that the optics department will definitely have many impressive features.

The soon to be launched LG V30 will also have the Google Daydream support to enable the users to enjoy viewing with their VR headsets.

Lastly, two more factors can be shared; one is that the new phone will come with a wireless charging facility and second, the LG’s user interface for Android the UX 6.0+ will be part of the specifications of the phone.

For rest of the details, stay tuned till August 31.
