A new set of renders for an upcoming model from LG in the V series, V-30 has surfaced and it shows the phone could be built around the slider concept. LG has reserved its V series smartphones to do the out-of-the-box ideas without disturbing the regular G series flagships. It has so far worked well for the company since the previous 2 versions the LG V-10 and the LG V-20 fared reasonably well in the marketplace.

Coming to the concept rendering for the LG V-30, the images have been leaked by one Evan Blass who enjoys a reputation among the tech analysts for being quite reliable with the information he leaks.

The images show the phone in a closed view and it indicates a tiny portion of the display and when the slider is pushed out you get two displays, one which is the large part and the main one and the smaller one below which can be designed to do many things.

It can display the most recent apps or the most frequently used ones. At other times, it could act as a keyboard and if the display space has to be expanded, that can also be done. In fact, there is one image that shows this possibility clearly.

At this juncture, all these are just suggested plans LG can work on and may even be the design possibilities being worked on internally by the design team. Whether any of the concept render images turn out to be true or none of them ultimately materialize, it is indeed too early to say.

An earlier rumor suggested that the V30 will sport a Snapdragon 835 chipset, which wasn’t ready in time for the G6. There have been mentioned of a 6GB RAM and an improved DAC.

These sites are even asking their readers to respond and tell what they think about this concept and what they feel will be attraction enough for the buyers to go for such a phone. It has to be borne in view that this slider concept itself is not something new and the Blackberry Priv had a similar design. It is a different matter that the Blackberry Priv was not a big hit with the buyers.
