Kannada film Shuddhi, which hit the screens in 2017, has been adjudged the best film and veteran actor Tara Anuradha was adjudged best actor (female) for her role in Hebbet Ramakka by the award-selection committee formed by the state government. Shuddhi was followed by Kudlu Ramakrishna's March 22 and Abhay Simha's Paddai (Tulu) in second and third positions respectively.

Vishruth Naik, meanwhile, was adjudged the best actor (male) for his role in Manjari. Hebbet Ramakka, a political drama, also won the special recognition award for film with the best social cause. The film had earlier won the award for Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 65th National Film Awards.

Raajakumara, starring popular actor Puneet Rajkumar, has been chosen the best entertainer of the year. The awards were chosen after a two-month selection process involving 121 films.

Best cinematography: Santhosh Rai Pathaje (Chamak) 

Best music direction: V Harikrishna ( Raajakumara) 

Best editing: Harish Komme (Mufti) 

Best child actor (male): Master Karthik (Rajakumara) 

Best child actor (female): Shlagha Saligram (Kataka) 

Best art direction: S B Ravi (Hebbuli) 

Best music: G M Pralhad (March 22) 

Best playback singer (Male): Tejaswi Hariprasad (Huliraya)
