Ever since Krish Jagarlamudi took over the mantle from director Teja to direct the NTR biopic, he is reportedly under severe pressure.

Krish took up the offer to direct the biopic after N Balakrishna requested him personally but he is now torn between the two projects – the Hindi film Manikarnika and the NTR biopic in Telugu.

Reports suggest that the writer of Manikarnika, KV Vijayendra Prasad has insisted on changing some of the scenes that have already been shot but the filmmakers are still thinking over it as the budget may go up. With the director’s attention needed for the NTR biopic to rope in the stars, he is thoroughly busy and seemingly stressed.

Starring Kangana Ranaut as Rani Laxmibai, the film also has Jisshu Sengupta, Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood, Suresh Oberoi, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, and Ankita Lokhande in pivotal roles.

Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy is the music composer for this film with Gnana Shekar VS cranking the camera and Suraj Jagtap and Rama Krishna Arram being the editors.

Manikarnika is a biographical that is based on the life of the Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmi Bhai. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti.

While Krish is waiting for the producers to give the go ahead to reshoot the scenes, he is also concentrating on the NTR biopic. Starring N Balakrishna in the title role, the biopic also features Vidya Balan, Jisshu Sengupta, Mohan Babu, Keerthy Suresh and others in the star cast. The biopic is co-produced by Balakrishna along with Sai Korraputi and Vishnu Induri.

According to latest reports about the film, we hear that Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is also NTR’s son-in-law and Balakrishna’s brother-in-law, is keen that it hits the silver screens by Sankranti next year.

With the state going into elections next year, the election code of conduct is expected to be in place by late January and Naidu has reportedly expressed his wishes to have the film released before that.

The biopic is sure to help Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party, which was founded by NTR.
